Torin M. Finser
Torin M. Finser, PhD, has served Waldorf education for over four decades — as a class teacher and faculty chair, a teacher educator, and a founder of institutions that carry the work forward. He is the author of fifteen books on education, leadership, and inner development, and a lifelong student of the questions his own Waldorf schooling first raised in him.

- Educated as a Waldorf student himself, at three schools in New York City, upstate New York, and Krefeld, Germany.

- BA, Bowdoin College — double major in history and German literature, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa in three years.

- PhD, Union Graduate School — educational leadership, with an emphasis on teacher stress and renewal.

Torin and his wife, Karine Munk Finser, are now enjoying nine grandchildren.
